Revealed: The World’s Most Diamond-Studded Ring

If diamonds are a girl's best friend, ladies, meet your BFF. A record-breaking diamond ring may prove that there are still big spenders with a taste for trophy assets.

As the majority of the world batten down the hatches in anticipation of a bleak year ahead, the 2,525-diamond ring is currently being showcased in an exclusive enclave in Kiev, Ukraine.


The ‘Tsarevana Swan’ is being sold by the Lobortas Classic Jewelry House of Kiev. It has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records on account of its record-breaking bling-to-ring ratio. Making history for "the most diamonds set in one ring wearable on the human finger," it is priced at an eye-watering $1.3 million, according to the jeweller in a statement.

The ring weighs 44.72 grams and contains a total of 10.48 carats of diamonds, ranging in size from 0.001- to 0.05 carat, crafted in 18k white gold. 

The diamonds for the ring were supplied by DTC Sightholder Shrenuj & Co. and are all of G color and VVS2 -VS1 clarities.

Lobortas said that the design and development of the ring took 530 hours, while fabrication took 3625 hours. 

The ring is currently being showcased in Kiev and will be exhibited elsewhere in the world this year.
